CoolPlus® is a type of new
functional fiber, which can
transport water and keep the skin
healthy. It applies the capillary
action resulted from the micro-slits
on the fiber surface to rapidly
absorb the sweat from skin surface,
diffuse it to a larger area through
several actions, such as wicking,
diffusing, transporting, etc., to
make the fabric dry faster. At the
same time, the air permeability of
the fiber is applied to release the
hot air out of the body in keeping
the skin fresh and cool. Technical Properties:

Polartec®PowerDry®:
100% Recycled Polyester, 200 gram
fabrics are designed to keep your
skin dry when you sweat. All fabrics
in this series feature a patented
bi-component knit construction that
uses different yarns on either side
of the fabric. This creates two
different surfaces: one that is
optimized to move moisture away from
the skin, the other to dry quickly. How Does It Work?
Moisture and high relative humidity
next to the skin cause discomfort.
Polartec®Power Dry®
keeps the skin dry through three
complementary mechanisms:
The fabric is highly breathable
and does not restrict the
movement of moisture vapor.
“Touch points“ on the fabric
inner surface draw off the
sweat. Sweat is wicked off the
skin to the outside of the
fabric where it spreads rapidly
for evaporation.
Polartec® Power Dry®
fabrics move at least 30% more
moisture away from the skin than
single component fabrics.
When the sweat reaches the
outside of the fabric, it
spreads out to many times its
original surface area, enabling
it to dry at least 2 times
faster than cotton.

Combined with a super light-weight
and soft hand, this provides

dual-layers are what give Vertex its
unique eco-technical advantage. Next
to the skin is recycled polyester,
with engineered wicking; the outside
layer is rated for sun protection.
With a rating exceeding 40 UPF for
white, you are not only kept cool
and protected, you are doing it with

Consider your bike team jersey to
be your canvas. Have some fun with it!
Follow the guidelines below to ensure
that your concept is translated seamlessly
to our art department.
Art Formats
We work in Illustrator CS4. You can
send other vector art, but it must
be saved in .eps or .pdf format. Photoshop files are welcome, as are
images sent as .jpg and .tiff
Bitmapped images are
resolution-dependant, therefore
changing the the size of the image
can cause a loss in image quality
and sharpness. In contrast, vector
images are resolution-independent;
you can resize it without losing its
crisp edges. Most logos come to us
as vector, photos of course will
be bitmapped, so try for a
high-resolution image.
A note about resolution: Higher
resolution images will reproduce
more detail than lower resolution
images. However, increasing the
resolution of a low-resolution image
only spreads the original pixel
information across a greater number
of pixels; it rarely improves image
quality. Using too low-resolution
for a printed image results in
pixelation-output with large,
coarse-looking pixels.
Creating your Design
Download the
correct template for your jersey
from our
downloads
page. If you have any problems with
the pdf format, contact us and we
can fax you a copy.

If using a photo to spread over an
entire pattern piece, it must be big
enough to print outside the largest
piece, yet the key elements must
still show on the smallest size.
Place your art on all applicable
pieces
We can not
cross seams with logos or images.
Preparing Art and Submitting your Files
Bitmapped art or photos can be sent
without adjustments.
Vector art: Any text in vector art
files must be converted to outlines.
Saving with layers is fine, just be
sure that any invisible layers have
been deleted first.
Email all art to your rep. If the
files are too large, contact us and
we will provide you with ftp
instructions.

Next Steps
Our art department will evaluate
your files upon receipt. If work is
required to further prepare the art
for application, you will be sent an
artwork quote by your rep.
Once the art is useable, we will
create a model garment with the
actual art placement for your
approval.
